Well said, unfortunately, we have a government that believes that those people should know better and do better and thatβs why they make stupid laws and refuse to educate population. Everybody should read the book Abundance by Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson. Read the people are doing the best we can
Yeah, like it's our fault we had no "generational" wealth and lost both parents by late teens, went to community college and then university without help throughout life. Maybe that is why i am kind. I get it.
As a single mom, may I say AMEN! I sometimes look around, and I actually KNOW some of those who are quick to assume or judge, and I can assure you they would NEVER have survived in my shoes.
Amen. Due to circumstances beyond my control I am one of these people. Becoming one opened my understanding. I hear their stories like Iβve never heard them before. Comfortable people have no idea. Now being kind to the comfortable is my challenge. Kindness remains the root of civility.
This is true. I live paycheck to paycheck. I don't have a huge savings to fall back on. Two missed paychecks and I'm screwed. I'm not complaining, many have it a lot harder than I do. We should care about each other and always be kind.
βLove is but a song we sing
Fear's the way we die
You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cryββ¦
βtry to love one another right now.β
I was that single mom. Now I am the daughter who takes care of her mother, who was a single mom. My mom now has dementia and I'm the niece who takes care of her uncle because he has dialysis three times a week. There's no way for me to go anywhere. I am stuck here because I have no help & I hate it.
Damn girl your strong! You deserve a life where you r in the spotlight as well. Being with your back against the wall, not even having a choice in it,. takes a great toll from your mind and body!
I hope there r some people around you that brighten up your day(s) as well, i really do!
I will NEVER forget only having myself to figure it all out. Having to decide which bills to pay and not pay. Having to cook dollar store steaks over a fire. Fighting through debt that Iβm still paying off, now.
Respect and Kindness kept me on track.
Respect and Kindness helped me succeed.
KindβYESβbut also encouraging about the importance of oneβs vote. I know people who canβt come up for air long enough to spend time acquainting themselves with the political hellscapeβ¦and others who feel powerless and so check out. Our only hope is banding together and not leaving them in a void.
I used to make a good wage then a car crash ruined everything.Wasnβt my fault but 6 surgeries later & one pending but too scared!!! Now on disability just scraping by. No kids,no parents & no family with money so if SSI is cut I donβt know what I would do? No jobs I can work. Pray lottery π€! JK lol
Unless they are maga, nazis, alpha bros, cryptobros, racists, fascists, sexists,βIβm just jokingβ bros, βIβm just asking the questionβ bros, Elon stans, or ai art thieves. Then by all means,
be cruel.
I worked for poverty level wages for years, paycheck to paycheck, and 1 income, I make more now, but those years of not... I don't really have retirement income set aside. It just wasn't possible.
Whenever my kids said they were stress I told them stress is its 2 weeks until Christmas, you have three kids ages 4β7, and you and your wife just lost your jobs.
Everybody, or nobody. Itβs not complex. Itβs not difficult. If you wish to be treated fairly, humanely, compassionately, then be that way to others. Set aside your ego and your grievances and be a good human being.
I'm 67 & FED UP
But there must be some middle ground
When we nurture our rightful anger re what's going on in our own country, we take that out into the world and become bitter to *everyone* we encounter
We need to take responsibility for our own thoughts & actions

I am perfectly capable of laser focusing my disgusting and intolerance of fascist MAGAts without collateral damage to those on the humane side of the divide.
There was no middle ground the 1st time we dealt with the Nazis.
There shouldn't be a middle ground this time, either.
Almost everyone I know will be homeless & hungry 1rst missed check.. some are making mortgage payments.. the bank will take ur home.. equity loans = take home⦠this will create a 43-% +\- within a 2-3 mnth time frame if SSI do not come thru .,,,, all Seniors & disabled in the streets
no one from the people who started at the same date as I did at work are actually in anyway worried that we really got a fuc** 180 days probation period (like WTAF - I got more than 25yrs worked" 3 months was overall max normally )
get a mortgage for a flat - and the conditions would be much worse (if even granted, interests higher - because as a woman they assess my "default" risk would be higher"
I don't need anyone to tell me "don't worry so much about everything"
cause if I did not have done that -
You live in a culture of wild naked apes who hate everything. Kindness is not at the top of the list, but does exist with the homeless. Oligarchs with hundreds of billions use coupons to eat at McDonalds, greed addiction has gone mad!
Kindness is supremely important. However, if you hurt people, I will not only withhold kindness, I will fight hard to see that you receive pain and anguish. If cruelty is your currency, there is no place on earth for you.
Millions of people live paycheck to paycheck working two jobs to survive. Our energy should be focused on increasing minimum wage so that hard working people can provide food and shelter for their families. I was flabbergasted to learn that the minimum wage was under $8 an hour. We must stay united
I will never forget the kindness of a woman who came to me in a parking lot and said, βYouβre a good mom. Youβre doing a good jobβ after seeing me deal with my two toddlers in complete meltdown mode in the checkout lane over denied candy. It meant so much to me I havenβt forgotten in 20 years.
I'm a volunteer for St. Vincent dePaul. We help financially and spiritually. But sometimes we forget this is what we do. Sometimes we think we can fix things by saying "what you should do is, If you only did this!
Thank you for this post. I'm sharing it at my next meeting.π
A not of people who say they are βdoing doing the best they canβ arenβt actually. Same goes for people who earn $500K-$50M salaries claiming the WORK HARD to earn every dollar, they do not. Same thing goes for all the people shout about being βlaw abiding citizensβ who just have been charged yet.
Let this include not shaming people who are living paycheck to paycheck and far from their state capitals because they can't make a way to get out there to protest this nightmare regime running our country into the ground. Many are doing what they can where they are with the resources they have.
@resist.bot is a fast and free way to send email petitions via a quick prompted text.
Relieves stress & helps with that depressing hopeless/helpless feeling.
This is so true. We have neighbors with health issues, standing up & protesting is something they cannot do. We are in this together so letβs treat each other as an important part of our lives.

I'll stick with being an intolerant asshole when it comes to trump supporters.
Being "kind" isn't going to make a shit-hill worth of difference with these Nazi fuks.

IT WILL CHANGE YOUR PERSPECTIVE.
no one from the people who started at the same date as I did at work are actually in anyway worried that we really got a fuc** 180 days probation period (like WTAF - I got more than 25yrs worked" 3 months was overall max normally )
I'm not any of the 30yrs old with hubby
I am on my own since I was 17 - and guess what
hard work never paid off - I do not have savings even having worked sometimes 2 40hr jobs
I could not afford cause as a single woman I would still
I don't need anyone to tell me "don't worry so much about everything"
cause if I did not have done that -
many - far too many of us fight fights the people around us never know, never get a snippet of it
be kind - if you can't be kind, stay quiet
Even Jesus Christ requires repentance before forgiveness. These fucks? Delight in their choices.
They wanted to hold the fire?
Let 'em burn.
Thank you for this post. I'm sharing it at my next meeting.π
Indeed, be kind!
This is one of the many reasons we fight!
Relieves stress & helps with that depressing hopeless/helpless feeling.
Then, laugh, point, taunt, insult, and ridicule.
