kept seeing this floating around on the tl and thought it would be a cute introduction to more of my ocs!

i purchased this design on a whim ~7 years ago, and he sat in my files until late 2023. evander tramaris: a royal fuckup who ended up ruling the feywilds' autumn court after his father died and his older half-siblings (he's the 5th of 15) turned on each other.
when i think of "popular" characters, they're easily-recognizable ocs that i see and immediately know who the owner is. i don't think any of mine have reached that (outside of my friends), but i make them for my own enjoyment, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
just a general regret that i often fall in and out of love with designs and concepts that i was excited for! i love buying adopts and creating new ocs out of them, but i also tend to go through periods of dissatisfaction with many of my characters, even the most beloved ones.
...probably, when i was younger? i wouldn't say any of my characters are self-inserts, but all of my ocs end up with at least a little fragment of myself in them bc it makes it easier to relate to them + writing them can be deeply cathartic for me.
yeah, this guy SUCKS. his vibes are rancid, he makes everyone around him worse, he wants to rule over the ashes of a shattered world, he's convinced he's never going to die
(i don't hate any of my ocs, but this one is a Creature.)
if adjusted for the conversion to a human lifespan, marcy (left) is the youngest at 112 years old (roughly 19).
i haven't fully worked out the timeline, but cassius (right) is probably the oldest, since he was created when the gods were still alive (10k+ years ago).
tallest is my fave demonic milf, coming in at over 7ft in her natural state! shortest doesn't have art (rip) but she's a lythari ranger that stands at roughly 4'9. for shortest ocs w/ art, marcy is 5'1!
probably the same answer as #14! i tend to struggle until i've worked on fleshing out a character/thinking about how they might react to various situations. once i've written them a few times or played a few D&D sessions, it's generally smoother sailing!
i haven't figured out more than a rough concept for the left design (by @/dearworthyhart). the right is the mortal guise of a copper dragon (by neongutz @ TH) named Riaetra, but i haven't used her besides a few casual rps. i'd like to flesh them out as characters more, though!
yes!! i can't talk about one bc of spoilers, but as far as major ocs, my darling succubus has dozens of cambion children (and tiefling grandchildren/g-grandchildren/etc) ❤
my monster of the week pc, alysanne! she was decapitated in one of our last games, after they sacrificed themself for another pc (@werewolfstudy.bsky.social). unfortunately, she was resurrected (reanimated?) by the rot, which she had been infected by prior to their death.
absolutely not ❤ i love inflicting tragedy and traumatic backstories on them
i can't talk about most of them in any detail since my players follow me, but i do have a prospective npc antagonist who has taken advantage of the chaos in my post-apocalyptic dnd setting to crown himself "king" of what remains. looking forward to seeing how the pcs react to him! 🥰
iiiiii honestly don't know if i have any "weird" ocs, but i do have a funny lil critter that is basically "joan of arc if she was a divinely-ordained monster hunter with a flaming sword". her name is alysanne, and i play her in my group's ongoing monster of the week campaign!
declining to answer b/c i fear that my besties/shipping partners might re-enact the ides of march if i do 🖤
i do!! most of my characters are shipped off (either canonically or crackshipped) within my primary ttrpg group, but, unless they already have an exclusive ship (rare!), i'm always willing to consider clacking dolls together and seeing what comes of it.
most of the time, i come up with a vague concept or find a design that inspires me! from there, i start working on the playlist/moodboard while thinking of how the oc might act in diff situations. choosing a name is hard, so that's usually last for me!
i'm in a lot of ttrpg campaigns (some ongoing, others on hiatus/finished) and can't say no to joining more 😓
my ocs are usually created to be pcs or npcs for campaigns, but sometimes i just see an adoptable that randomly inspires me to want to make them into an oc!
this was SO hard to choose, but i think i have to give it to my fire genasi, sharn. the artist did an incredible job designing her for me, and i love the way that she has evolved over the course of the campaign.
(old: @foxydeamond.bsky.social ; new: @/rururize)
i love all of my aelwyns and not-aelwyns equally
in all seriousness, i've had ael for so long that it feels second-nature to think of how she might react to something. i cherish all of my ocs, but she's the only one that i feel so strongly connected with.
kali'seia: known as the mistress of ardor & the mother of fiends, she is a succubus npc who has claimed one of the many planes of the abyss as her own. kali has many cambion children (and tiefling descendants); the ones deemed most worthy are often offered a fragment of her power.
aelwyn is the oldest oc that i still have + my very first d&d pc! she was created as a concept when i was 11-12, and she's existed in many forms since then.
@raspbabicow.bsky.social is going to HATE seeing his old art, but here's OG ael from when i started playing d&d in 2020 🖤
I HAD TO DRAG HER OUT OF THE DEPTHS OF MY BASEMENT TO SHOW HOW MUCH SHE'S CHANGED SINCE 2020!!!
