This is wonderful. The colours and composition are chaotic, but the mood feels peaceful. I love how the goldfish are "evolving"; like a memory that won't quite settle. The asymmetrical faces and subtle differences in expression... All portrayed in a beautiful and familiar way!
In short, the goldfish represent an attempt to memorize, while the dancing imps are the noise of the ADHD brain. The continuous stream of contradicting and racing thoughts almost never stop taking up space as if one is trapped in a trance like a moth to a flame.
For a very long time, especially while working retail at events for 10+ years, I noticed I had issues recalling information especially names and people. Fast forward to a couple years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD and it all made sense.
Having a faulty memory has felt embarrassing and even so shameful at times, but itβs also something Iβm trying to accept gently, work on, and be more open about. π
I love this piece Ki. This visual representation is so so beautiful. I'm also trying to work on not feeling ashamed about my bad memory and the way my brain works, it takes a lot of time and patience. Hugs for you and all of us ADHD Baddies β€οΈβ€οΈβ¨
