Finished Guardians of the Galaxy the other day and there are moments you're struggling then have the opportunity to blast 80s music during the fight, it's fucking epic lol

Now if we're talking original soundtracks, TLOU2 can be pretty tense as is but is elevated a tonne by its music and probably wouldn't be the same without it. I suppose it's entirely dependent on how important it is to gameplay, and some streamers find it distracting when trying to talk to audience.

To be honest I just don’t get these people. I’ve lots of vg soundtracks that I love and come back to. And I love how listening to them after finishing the games brings back the same emotions I had when playing. Btw I need to play TLOU2 :)

He shared how he’s always sad to see players or streamers put the music/sound down to like 20% or less, like it’s not part of the game experience and can be skipped. Of course my friend was exaggerating for fun, but still he was really looking forward to this lecture about music of Manor Lords.

I went there with him and turned out the lecture was cancelled XD the speaker never arrived.

A guy from the event crew played some music from the game for a few mins, probably from YouTube, before telling everyone to leave.

It's kinda crazy to me that videogame music is still underappreciated, even though I think it's, like, at least half of the soul in a game, just like in movies, series and such

Right? Just look at the views on yt uploads of soundtracks. I think the respect will grow, there’s already video game ost orchestra concerts and such. It will sadly take a few years.
