My old insurance covered being done at the U of A
But they won’t cover it
Canada Life covered it but Sunlife is saying no
My admin is trying to get me grandfathered
I may just end up paying out of pocket so Insurance and Dani win and im out
A political pawn
I’m kind of shocked by this.
All that money on Infoway & Harper making Prov Gov’s a corporate member… no benefit came from this & there is still no oversight
Selling patient data without consent (or at all, really) is a grotesque violation of ethical standards.
There is no need for researchers to have names & addresses ie identifying data any requests for same has previously been denied
Our data is valuable & it will help set up private medical insurance corps to do what they do in US - deny care/payment due to “pre-existing conditions”
