I'm immunosuppressed due to anti-rejection meds to stave off losing my kidney transplant. Many like me take tacrolimus and so can't take Pax. Also take mycophenolate so all vaccines are less effective. Need better vaccines/better treatment/better PreP.

Re PreP, we had Evusheld which was good until Covid mutated yet again. Now we have Pemgarda but accessing it is extraordinarily difficult. If we get a new PreP, easier accessibility/insurance coverage is essential, otherwise it's useless and is a great waste of funds. Trying to get it is exhaustin.

Took me three months to get approved in health system and another month to get infusion center on board. Getting my third infusion of Pemgarda end of March.

I spent 18 mos of my life trying to get approval for Evusheld, traveling out of state to get Evusheld, and then fighting my PCP's medical group who claimed I never got approval. I'm not doing the same with Pemgarda. I'll stay masked and socially distanced.

It’s so frustrating. Doctors don’t even know it exists or have read the studies that show how well it works. That’s not even the $ battle. The thing that got me over the hump was an advocate doctor and a complex case pharmacist that championed it in my system. Every three months its new fight

FYI I have an infusion center in Minneapolis area that does not show up on Pemgarda site that gives me the infusion. I still mask everywhere and don’t eat out. I believe in a layered approach.
