I think it was called ANYONE BUT YOU, and he played the father of one of the two women getting married. It was a shocker. Going from someone’s all thought was hot to angry dad…and doing it so well. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

None of us were. You are blessed to even approach the age when anyone might look to you as an elder.

Take a breath, square your shoulders, chin up, and wear it with dignity and honor.

Try not to trip, walking that way takes some getting used to.

Thank you. And I know I’m blessed to be her. My grandfather passed in his 40s, and my sister by my age. I think it’s just reflecting back from my teen years that threw me.

You absolutely were! Being “old” is a wonderful thing. It means you’re still here and kicking after everything your mind and body have experienced over the years. Not everyone has the privilege of growing old, but those who do are here for a reason.

Thank you! I guess I just meant that when I was a kid, I thought where I am today is really old and that being this age felt so old that it didn’t seem…(this sounds horrible)…worth it to get this old. I mean, I’m 54, but to a 17yo, that’s ancient. Yeesh. That sounds so awful.

Hahahah it doesn’t sound awful! It sounds human. It’s only natural to think about aging in a certain manner.
I’ve learned age is really, truly, only a number.
I’ve met individuals younger than myself that have taught me so much, and I know people older than I am who are naive to certain things.
