Amazons workers across 20 countries, including the United States, are striking against what the organizing labor union calls anti-worker and anti-democratic practices.

Is the union asking people to not buy during the strike? Serious question, sometimes they want people to keep using the striked service so that it is overwhelmed by them not being there to work it and show how much work they actually do.

This is a double edged sword for 90% of Americans. Yes they want to support the workers of Amazon, but also want to be able to provide a traditional "good" Christmas for their family with a limited income this time of year. Amazon is able to offer the lower prices for the common person to afford.

I was fired from Amazon recently for a false narrative that I was using drugs on the floor. They have cameras and they know I didn’t do that shit. They fired me without even drug testing me. So I feel slightly vindicated rn (I don’t do drugs, my worst purchase habit is video games or daily cheese)

My husband has been a union ironworker for 45 years.
He says that if he ever crossed a picket line, "My Dad (a Teamster) would crawl out of his grave and strangle me."

It's a general term referring to honoring a strike, whatever that strike may be. Not buying, not watching, etc. 🙂

1) not what "crossing the picket line" means! that specifically refers to working at a company while the workers are on strike. not buying is a "boycott", which brings me to 2) the workers have not called for a boycott
