As somebody that has multiple leg scars I feel like they tell a story and people shouldn’t have to feel ashamed of them.

In fact I like mine, I feel like they add character to me.

I hope to one day to be able to not feel conscious of it when I'm outside. Haha but I can see and feel the stares people give at times. I really want to accept these as part of me. Just unsure how and where to start.

It’s a self love type of thing you’ll get there! I used to feel ashamed of them but I realized that they make me who I am. I didn’t even like to wear shorts at one point because of them.

I wouldn’t be who I am without them. Once you come to terms with that they’ll be easier to accept😌

i dont see how people find scars disgusting :( i think theyre a very natural part of being a human !! it means that youre healing !! people like to glorify clear skin but i think all skin is beautiful :) i have a ton myself and ive never felt the need to get rid of them !!

I personally find them cool! I wouldn't judge anyone no matter how bad it is. I don't know how they got it after all, and I'm definitely not about to press them about it. Anyone who tries to make a big deal out of them needs to learn to mind their damn business!

Scars are just healed wounds and getting hurt is natural ╮⁠(⁠＾⁠▽⁠＾⁠)⁠╭ I don't see why it could be disgusting (⁠*⁠´⁠ω⁠｀⁠*⁠) They're there and they won't get away so I accept them and move on ✨

I've been struggling to accept mine since it has gotten worse. It hinders me from wanting to wear some clothes as well. I want to accept them too but idk how and where to start. Finding the confidence to do it from within me is just challenging.

I struggle with mine too I remember wearing long sleeve for a good while bc I felt guilty and shame (⁠´⁠-⁠﹏⁠-⁠`) I just keep reminding myself that ppl judge me anyway no matter what I do or wear so the least I can do is try to be happy ✨

i think they're pretty, i have a lot of scarring, from different things, light and dark scars etcetc, i dont think they could ever be disgusting
i get conscious of them bc i know some ppl think differently (mainly abt the ones on my back), but otherwise im learning to accept them

it takes time to fully accept it, as long as you're trying thats good enough already ! you can try wearing clothes or something to cover it up if you really do not like them, i hope you're able to feel confident even with your scars

I don't understand why people find them disgusting. They're a part of the experiences someone has had. Be proud of yourself and if anyone says otherwise you shouldn't even listen to them (I wouldn't even be close with those people, too judging imo)

I think they are very cool! Like no matter why they were created I think it shows resilience and personality! Plus I think any like body peculiarities like moles, stretch marks, scars and what not are super pretty 🫶

i think scars are awesome and show proof you survived something. i can see no reason why they would be gross or weird. i think theyre a part of someone, just as much as anything else and theres nothing wrong with having them

I think all scars are beautiful :> they tell stories of your past no matter how big or small. Some scars can reflect art or nature as well

I used to hate the acne scars all over my back, but then i started to love them cause they remind me of a cheetah’s spots <3

And that you were able to go through it and still be here. Something I like to tell myself is "at least I have my eye intact" and even if I had lost my eye I would probably say "arggg, I'm a pirate" or something like that to feel better and pass the bad feelings with humor

Mine is just genetics and unfortunately just got worse now. So.. I have mixed feelings about it but mostly it's negative. I was still in the process of accepting it before it got worst and it's been challenging ever since.
