That’s the same as any other art form. Character artists, musicians, writers, etc, don’t get good at their skills overnight. They take time to learn and practice their craft. Coding is just another skill

I didn't mean to come across as a jerk, it's just that coding is the high bar of entry for video games, and that's what stops me from wanting to make them. I'd get even less done if I decided to make my game ideas a reality. I already struggle with just getting my videos made, and they're naff!

video games defo culminate by grabbing each bit from multiple different forms of media and tries to put them all together to make a media that everyone can enjoy but its a form that requires alot of input to do so other forms are still 100% viable, but videogames defo has the most versatility lol

I agree. I wasn’t trying to say other art forms aren’t viable or are “worse” than games. I’m just saying that they can be anything and pretty much everything, in ways that might be limiting for other art forms

yeah it slightly came off like so for me cause i wasnt sure how to really interpret it and i know its just generally praising the artform. Videogames are super cool because you can technically focus on one of the other artforms in the form of games itself, which is really cool
