saw a rare dark morph red tailed hawk today in washtenaw county wearing a backpack transmitter—a remarkable bird, beautiful plumage, apparently part of the RTHA project, and an MSU prof involved has ID’d it as a bird named mercury, last seen in toronto two weeks ago 🦉
