Mine was the Iran hostage crisis when I was 7, but probably only bc my parents didn't let us watch TV or the news with them. My husband is about the same age and he remembers gas shortages. We lived on a dairy farm after I was adopted and Pops let us fill up on the farm so we didn't feel that pain.

My roommates & I watched Nightline pretty regularly, especially at the beginning. I remember how fascinating it was that Koppel could talk to multiple people on split screen by satellite. So cool!
