5 February 1945 | A group of over 30 volunteers from the Polish Red Cross, including doctors and nurses, arrived from Krakow to the site of the liberated Auschwitz camp.
They established a hospital where they provided care for thousand sick Survivors. It operated until the end of September 1945.
