His wife Chava/Khava (1887), his sons Yehuda Leib Hersh (1908) and Kalman (1920) also perished in Auschwitz.

It seems his other five children survived. Among them, Isaac (1924) who was deported on 31 December 1942 from Mechelen; and Rachel (1922), thanks to a fake Salvadorian citizenship certificate emitted to herself, her husband, and her son.
