Nah, it's a peculiar case where the game was effectively stolen from the actual creators, so it becomes a case where pirating it (and donating to the creators separately if able) is the best option for everyone involved

It is a messy situation that is still unfolding, but the short version is that ZA/UM the company does not have many of the people that made Disco Elysium what it is, and has since splintered off into other small studios all competing to make a successor.
