🚨 This week marked 6 years since the UK Parliament declared an environment and climate change emergency.
That urgency hasn’t faded but the UK’s policies, plans and laws resemble “business as usual”—not the emergency response we need.

🌊 Britain’s nature is among the world’s most depleted.
🌡️ Breaching 1.5°C risks floods and economic chaos.
This crisis is here—impacting farmers, coastal towns, and communities worldwide. #CANBill
✅ Legally binding targets to limit warming to 1.5°C
✅ Reversing nature loss by 2030
✅ An end to siloed policymaking
The #CANBill aligns the UK with global commitments—and puts people and nature at the heart of decision making.
We need a new law. Binding targets drive investment, fix markets, and deliver real change. We need the Climate and Nature Bill.
⌛️ So why the delay? #CANBill
🌿 Ask them to to sign the #CANBill's EDM—and show they’re serious about the emergency Parliament declared in 2019.
⏰ We’re out of time for half-measures.

Nice ambition, but IMHO there is essentially zero possibility of that happening, even if the very best possible of a CAN Bill got passed. 😭
I'm not sure it's even theoretically possible at this stage, let alone practically real world possible?
