Is misleading people into thinking you're the source of information for a shadowy resistance group unethical? I think it is. This shit is not real and people are believing it is.

Especially when said group’s website purports to support the National Parks Service while selling merch that doesn’t actually go to fund NPS, and provides crappy info about each park while burying links to official parks websites at the bottom of its pages. No one is immune to scams or propaganda
What makes you believe this person? It's a grift all the way down if you let it be. Don't let any if them get in your head. Go out, do good and stop worrying what internet people are talking about.
You can actually, and should, verify what somebody is saying online. This isn't a "well, it can't be figured out, guess I'll give up!" situation in the least.
I will absolutely trust anyone with credible evidence. I don't know altnps either, but they have been around a long time and suddenly everyone is sus. Could be. But I'm not just going to decide on someone else's unsupported opinion either. I've been on the internet a long time. I wait and see.
This account makes specific claims. So you could, quite literally, verify what they are saying.
To pretend that there is no connection between our actions irl and the info upon which we base our actions is wild in an age of dis- and misinformation.
