Mfw I finished LR and excitedly went to see if there was a thread about how fucking sick it was but it was nothing but complaints. TaiLungComputer.jpg fr. As more people are finishing it tho, I see a lot more threads talking about how cool it was so yippeeee
rhy u had no idea how much I was suffering through the dd2 bitching for an entire month when all I wanted to do was discuss the meta narrative of the entire game and how insanely good it was. At least MH is not as niche as dd is so u get more voices chiming in…. I WILL NEVER FORGET 😡😡😡
HLJGJDDHGKHK god that kind of shit is so brutal when it happens like FUCK why are you people so miserable. Cant you discuss the cool parts for once, guys? It's okay soldier, that old battlefield only exists in your memories now. But this is what I imagine you look like remembering it:
Getting DT ptsd looking as some of the shitty responses to the game.
Honestly, I barely remember anything about World or Rise’s story at this point. Wilds actually made a compelling plot for a game where the main goal is to smack monsters and then use their corpses to smack other monsters.
Ahah yeah I was just mentioning to friends that I don’t go into a MH game expecting anything so Wilds’ story was a nice surprise with how it tried to connect the background lore of MH and establish you to a new setting- I enjoyed it a lot! Def way better than base world/rise for me at least 🙌
Honestly enjoyed the pace of the story. It really helps set the roots down to being attached to the wolrd/region of wild I think. Another shield stands with you huff
Exactly, I love that it establishes the rapport between the new team/npcs and a whole new world- its also a lot less tiresome than World was imo, this feels just right and the proper length for an intro. we stand together...
YEAH!!! It made the world feel more alive and made like... them feel like characters to really fall for especially with time. Like, I wanna see Nata grow more man. Was proud of him. Not too much, not too little, just enough for a new adventure with plenty of room for everyone to grow!!!
I don't get people hating on the slow walks through the beautiful environments... I want to spend MORE time outside of hunts, learning about the various tribes and chatting with my team (・_・;) Not finished the main story yet but it's been pretty interesting so far.
I love the world/ecology of MH ;;; walking through the enviros and chatting about them with my new team is cozy and I love it!! altho i do understand for ppl who just want to get right into the monster fights its tiring but in the end its like... a few hrs out of the 400 you'll get out of the game
I will fight anyone who does this, you have my sword, and my axe, and my sword that turns into an axe, I guess.
I think anyone looking for Shakespeare might've gone into Wilds with the wrong expectations.
I'm just here for a good time, and that's what I got. :>
🫡 I always wonder if ppl had the wrong preconceived notion abt MH going in LOL honestly in the end the story is 15 hours out of my eventual 500+ hours in this game and it was serviceable for introducing me to a new setting and characters, I really enjoyed it!
The cast is fun!
The setting is gorgeously designed and varied, the weapon and armour variety is actually absurd this time around, and the characterisation of the Protag Hunter is just so goddamn good. Big Damn Hero moments left and right.
The scenario did exactly what it was supposed to. :D
