Worth talking about how unions encourage people to think in less individualist terms and often forces them to recognize and navigate the needs and desires of people who are different from them. And that’s by-and-large a good thing.

Obviously it’s not a guarantee of anything and most unionized folks aren’t really involved in union work, but it’s still meaningful on a larger scale.
