As the person organizing our local Tesla protests, I follow only some of the rules (because my info is already all over the event) lol I do provide water and snacks and have a first aid kit on standby though! And yes, everyone should stay as safe as they can.

It’s a tough balance, I’m close with a lot of local activist folks and there often IS a lot of genuine planning that goes into bigger organized protests. But it’s always a good idea to be safe and to practice good opsec if you’re planning to do anything beyond “hold a sign and chant”!
