Just seen a house advertised for rent in a nearby town, ‘offers invited above £1,000 pcm’. That absolutely should not be happening in rented property. Set a price and stick to it.

A friend is looking for a house to rent for a year, one agent has said that there are landlords asking for 8 years minimum! The whole thing is ridiculous. Renters really need more protections.
