Also after playing rivals I think one of the things I appreciate the most about splatoon is the super jump mechanic. Being able to jump all the time would be too broken in a game like rivals but at least being able to do it out of spawn would feel really cool - ThreadSky

It's so good like you wouldn't be able to completely copy it over exactly the same to other games but I feel like some sort of version of it that's balanced for that specific game should almost be a staple for most shooters

I hadn’t had any crazy appreciation for the mechanic until now since splatoon 3 was my first shooter but it helps so much keeping the game moving at a fast pace both getting back into the fight and encouraging taking space quickly to deny opposing jumps coming back in

Also I appreciate the hell out of gyro controls. I'm getting used to mouse and keyboard but I can't help but feel like I'd be insane at this game if I could aim as well as I can in splatoon
