I'd check with Jon or Alex. DSA's exploration of options and is still on their website. One thing that we questioned was the need to have a transferless trips all the way through downtown from North Seattle to South Seattle when it makes bus trips so slow and inefficient, primarily on Third.

Generally seems like a bad idea for a number of reasons. Not the least of which is the need for a bus corridor.

But also 1st is a slightly different transit market that isn’t currently being served. Notably, killing the CCC didn’t fix that.

This is true. My office is currently right near the termination of the First Hill streetcar line at 1st & Jackson, so for somewhat self-serving reasons I’d love to see the original C-C plan be completed

Not self serving at all. It'd make so much sense. 70 blocks of rail disconnected by 17 blocks in the middle. And perhaps we could skip the areaways on first in PSQ and connect it to the ferry terminal for a few blocks on the waterfront before taking it up to the market.

First Ave is so much better activated, I mean running it on 3rd the way it is now would basically de-incentivize any recreational streetcar use.

3rd Ave isnt a business street. its the back wall to Macys (now whatever it is) Ross, etc. its nothing but loading docks, parking garages and dated blank walls.

the DSA at one point wanted to stop the buses north and south of downtown and transfer everyone onto a bus/trolley that ran on 3rd
