Each of them is so damn obsessed with getting credit for destroying him that they are making the kind of mistakes that only play into his hands, like this photo op, or eavesdropping on private conversations with his lawyers.
You realize they are protecting him, right? I'll never understand the sympathy he gets for shooting a man in the back. Cowardly. "But they put profits above lives!" They are an insurance business with a profit margin of 6%. You don't like? Come up with a better business model. Or run for office.
r/im14andthisisdeep much? There is a difference b/w deliberately taking someone's life & figuring out how to create a profitable business model in healthcare insurance industry. We are living longer than ever. If healthcare covered everything, 90% of people wouldn't be able to afford it. 1/
The lives Thompson stole were absolutely blood on his hands. He made very specific choices: Kill a thousand people, and you can increase corporate profits by half a percentage point
Moreover, while insurance companies oftentimes are the treated as the "bad guys" for denying coverage, they are not the only player in the industry. Last year I went to the ER for a couple of days. Had a $5k-$10k bill because I have basically catastrophic insurance. 2/
I looked at my bill & hospitals are charging insane amounts for some things. Insurance then lowers charges, but why are hospitals charging $1k+ for 15 minute tests? Ultimately, we need "Universal Healthcare for Those Who Want It" (Pete's plan). Gov't run program also has issues, but at least option
Here's the thing: American hospitals, insurance companies and Big Pharma are the same ecosystem. Huge hospital bills ensure people are willing to pay huge insurance premiums. Huge insurance premiums allow hospitals to charge gigantic amounts for even the cheapest procedures.

They are making him into a bigger martyr.
THIS was a perpwalk, a vain attempt to burnish the careers of every single cop in that picture. Particularly Adams, who is up on bribery charges.
