You are absolutely right- it isn’t the what we focused on in the call but we DO need a longer term discussion about how we build a party that doesn’t fail us. With the guide, we’re focused on keeping our heads above water for 2 years, but that’s not enough long term.

I agree -- but as Sen Warren alluded but did not state explicitly... in some cases keeping our head above water will require holding Dems accountable. You and I both know that includes - perhaps primarily - failed leadership.

That kind of accountability is directly antithetical to "indivisible" -- so apologies for that. But I just don't see us going anywhere until the folks like AOC are in charge: who have principles, a spine, and the knowledge to successfully apply them.

I'm not a "burn it all down" guy, but the Dem leadership needs to be burnt with fire. I think it's possible that current Dems get into a Vichy kind of situation b/c they represent capital ahead of people. Hope I'm wrong.

It's unbelievably frustrating that we even have to do this. Watching from the outside, it always seems that senate democrats rarely push to accomplish anything. We are doomed to failure if they don't learn to play hardball like the republicans do.

Imho, Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA) is a FAR SUPERIOR & NATURAL Communicator & should take the reins as such.
