I told this girl I work with that I'm autistic and she was like "what? But you seem...so....smart?" So I had to explain to her that autism is, one a spectrum and two, rarely effects intelligence. I'm just very socially weird and tend to make weird noises and repeat random sounds that I hear

I had the walking on tip toes issue growing up and did get dx'd with it. People saying shit like this bugs me. I'm not as bad with loud noises etc as I was when young.

Sounds extremely autistic to me. I just had an in-depth conversation with my partner about mismatched socks and when they are OK and when they are Wrong, and how he has different rules for this, which I totally respect.
