I fucking hate this country so much.
After reading through the actual text of the law, it should be maintained that it's generally not as bad as it could be. But it's just not a very good or effective law for what it aims to be.

Sweden has gone ahead and passed their draconian "Nordic Model" bill criminalizing online creator content.
As of July 1, consumers who purchase an OnlyFans clip, a cam show or other creator content will be subject to arrest and a year in prison
All in order to "protect" women from exploitation.

It only affects Swedish consumers of such sex work.
The text fortunately/unfortunately doesn't make any specific definition of "sex work," -
So the idea is that sex workers must be protected from harm, ergo paying to participate in an active sexual act is an act of harming the sex worker.
The issue remains that there's a lot of vaguery that could be applied to *non-active participative sexual* acts if cases were argued in court for the sake of setting legal precedents. However, I can't really see anyone benefitting from making such a legal case.
Disproportionate impact on women, who now might have to turn to less safe means of income.
But it's always been draconian with regards to sex work, I'm finding out.
