this is so good! i love that shadow recognizes that sage is not just an extension of eggman’s will, and decides to talk to her once he understands that she is truly self-aware.

Frontier's design sense always feels so on point, & N'oni's colors still make me pause like on Sage's eyes or the last panel.

this connection between sage and Shadow is a very interesting one and a connection i could definitely see as a real canon aspect- one that would probably make Shadow feel like he could reconnect with his history, embracing it is one thing but also reflecting is another amazing work

Thank you so much. The hope was to play off that parallel even conceptually. We might not see it canonically, but it would be nice to see Shadow meet someone who understands his position well or someone who treasures their direct family like he treasured his. Helps that they're technically related.
