i know a lot of people seek out games that let them turn their minds off, and good for them. i am more and more drawn to games that stimulate my thoughts and challenge my worldview, that warrant deep and involved thought

(and while you dont gotta, i think if its one of my games, it makes me feel awful proud when you tell me about the thoughts its made you think, even if youre ultimately critical of the game)
For longer games, I’ve become more sympathetic to a game being a bit forgiving when you don’t have a lot of energy on that day. But perhaps this #ttrpg activity doesn’t need to be so much about weekly 3+ hours sessions.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot. Like in BitD, you choose your crew and then that is your theme. What if each session your table checked in - and then choose a vibe. Like for today’s game, our crew of thieves will just do some baking together.
