silicone toys can potentially last a lifetime, so i consider them from a long-term perspective. if they don't bring that much joy now, that's okay; they'll be there when you want them again.
IMO it's healthy to rotate interests and not always focus on one thing. if you're not feeling it, let go of it and choose to focus on something else for a while, then come back refreshed.
This is a very refreshing and helpful perspective, thank you so much!!! I’ve felt so guilty over not being happy with things right now. You also helped me realize I’ve been collecting for so many years at this point, so it’s even more normal to have a different emotion because of that.
Aw sorry to hear, hopefully things are feeling a lil better! 💚 Personally if I’m not feeling it at the moment I’ll spend some time rearranging things. I find handling each toy individually and appreciating the pour/design helps reconnect to why I chose it in the first place.
Also sometimes just moving things around and making new groups/pairings can be fun! Seeing different things together sometimes gives a very different visual vibe.
I think I'll try doing that! I took down all of my toys from the display to give them some time out of sight, only have some scattered squishes right now haha. Been trying to work on part with a few toys, too, to downsize, so that's also been in my head. Thank you!! I do think rearranging might help
