Eddie would be the BEST at helping Gator learn to own his own identity instead of abiding my someone else's authority over him. He would be devoted and caring in a way Gator didn't even know was possible, because Gator was brought up to believe softness was only meant for women

This precisely!!! He was never shown softness. I think he would be so overwhelmed and confused at first he wouldn’t even know how to react to it. He would just cry or be flustered or try to fight back. Poor boy. Also add in the fact that he’s now blind and more vulnerable? Mwah 🤌 chef’s kiss
