Operator is the descendant of VPT (work our team did at OpenAI on learning to use a mouse+keyboard to perform long-horizon tasks (demonstrated in Minecraft). As we wrote in that blog post, VPT is "a step towards general computer-using agents." Released ~2.5 years later.
