We have no real effort on inflation, bugger-all to fix housing, damaging levels of population growth, a toothless NACC, no action on structural Budget balance, almost zero on the environment, a 'Made in Australia' program that is a waste of money, and it goes on.

I think the ALP decisions/actions with regards to the environment have eroded voter trust far more than they realise.

You're too one eyed. Labor has achieved a lot during this term but, I agree, failed in some areas. The media is not helping either, attacking Labor where ever possible. One thing I do know, if Lib had won, we would have had another 3 years of scams, cheats and pocket lining just like the previous 9.

My hope for the Albanese government was that they had an opportunity to set direction for Australia 2040 and beyond. What have they achieved that will have an impact for our kids and grandkids?

Fair enough. I would consider education an important first step and Labor has improved opportunities. More funds for public schools would help also. If we can create a society that will reject media misinformation we have a win. I believe this is where USA is failing badly.

Probably for far less reason over there in reality. Not losing your job has less impact on minds than paying slightly higher prices than you might have had a few (possibly you) lost their jobs.
