Hey West Ham fans, genuine question. What was your reason for getting rid of Moyes? On paper, it looked like he was doing well for you, but I know on paper doesn't always tell the full story.

The team aged and burned out under Moyes and he didn’t refresh at all. We got roasted pretty much every game through 2024 and he was responsible for the first half of that. There was no plan and we were dropping like a Led Zep. We currently have the oldest squad in the Prem. Hope that helps
Yeah that's fair enough. Did he have the financial backing of the owners to bring down the average age? Obviously I don't follow west ham so closely so to me it just looks like he took over a relegation threatened team, get them into Europe, won the cup, had a bad start to a campaign and was sacked.
Yeh, but owner Sullivan is a snake and he brought in a well thought of DoF in Tim Steidten but Moyes wasn’t receptive and they clashed. That was the beginning of the end, despite Timmy securing players like Mo Kudus. Moyes brought in Kalvin Phillips, which was a disaster
I know Potter has had a bad start but given the choice 6 games ago between him & Moyes, I'd have picked Potter in a heartbeat. He's young, plays more attractive football & has a point to prove. Are there any signs of improvement under him yet? Has he just been unlucky so far?
Yeh, there’s a slightly better possession based style and the team is generally happier but still fundamental issues, namely the age of the squad, the slowness of the midfield and major players like Kudus and Paqueta being well out of form. Think Potter will be good tho
