I think this also adds to my concerns about platforming these people in this way. They get to misrepresent themselves by stealing the reputation & heart of the books they list by associating themselves with them. It breaks my heart to see art used like this.

I realised today why the Nicola Willis reading thing upset me so much. It shattered a lot of my beliefs about books' ability to enhance compassion. How can anyone read In the Line of Beauty and remain so unchanged they can be part of the hateful regime we are living under?
