NYT: organizers said that more than 600,000 people had signed up to participate. On Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, the protest stretched for nearly 20 blocks. .. tens of thousands surrounded the Washington Monument. In Atlanta, the police estimated…over 20,000.

USA Today: (https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/04/05/trump-protest-rallies-hands-off/82868543007/) more than 500,000 people RSVP'd, and 1,000 rallies. Ezra Levin - follow him to get updates @ezralevin.bsky.social - said 1,300 rallies with 10,000 *speakers*. So the USA Today numbers were really low (RSVP, but more attend).

My kids and I certainly did not RSVP, and many people don’t want to leave that kind of paper trail, so I don’t put any faith in the 500,000 number except as a lower bound.

I’ve seen aerial shots of several of the biggest protests; it should be possible to do pretty good crowd estimates from those.

We didn't RSVP to anything, and aren't members of mobilize or indivisible or whatever. San Jose mass transit was totally overwhelmed, and Mercury News is reporting that there were protests in more than 50 NorCal towns, so it's not like everyone headed here.
