Yesterday Senate @democrats.org had 17 opportunities to slow down the legislative process by objecting to unanimous consent and they didn't take any of them. The Republicans, however, shot down every substantive UC request made by the democrats.

! clean house. Make their town halls miserable too till they do their jobs and protect the constitution and lift a finger to save our democracy.
I think they are all too insulated from the terror reigned down on the rest of us. Perhaps taking the bribes.
Objection to Unanimous Consent isn't unusual or taboo or difficult. It's just not being used by the Democrats. @schumer.senate.gov speechified how McMahon was an unfit candidate to lead the Dept. of Education and then just.... didn't object to the UC request to fast-track the nomination. Wtf.
One of the proposals the Republicans shot down with a single "I Object" was legislation to keep Social Security solvent. it was proposed by @sanders.senate.gov @warren.senate.gov @jeff-merkley.bsky.social @smith.senate.gov. Stop trying to work with your opponents. Start being petty and object!
People fell all over themselves to object to the unanimous consent request Sen. Gallegos made to censure Russia. Why didn't @schiff.senate.gov object when Paul used UC twice more after that to enter items into the record and use the occasion to discuss Russian influence?
Yesterday was actually the second time that Sen. Coons has been shot down by a single Republican refusing to go along with Unanimous Consent. The first time was to make sure USAID couldn't be saved. This time it was to make sure Trump had the authority to impose tariffs on our allies.
This week there were 74 requests for unanimous consent and 6 objections. 5 of those came from Republicans.
@schumer.senate.gov, @padilla.senate.gov, @whitehouse.senate.gov, @markwarner.bsky.social @schatz.bsky.social @smith.senate.gov Why didn't you take the 69 other opportunities to deny consent?
Ds, including @warren.senate.gov @wyden.senate.gov @markey.senate.gov & @murray.senate.gov have agreed to unanimous consent over 400 times now. And they're in session less than ever and are even increasing the rate they govern by unanimous consent to more than 2 per hour.
