Large magnitude Mw7.6 #earthquake along Cayman Trough at NW boundary of #Caribbean plate. Mechanism is sinistral strike-slip.
This fault system already ruptured in Jan 2020 more to NE (on Oriente Fault) and May 2009 to the SW. ⚒️ 🧪
