Most of them have a pension and lifelong healthcare for serving in office. Options not afforded the American populace. Yet they control Socially Security and have never fully backed nationwide healthcare. If they used all the same systems everyone had to use, the country would be quite different.
I believe the number of millionaires in the country is higher than 4%, or there are an awful lot of people living well beyond their means….spending every penny they make and living on credit cards.
This is obviously not good representation for the US, but I want to point out that there ARE a few who fit the category AND credibly fighting for us such as Bernie who made his millions largely *because* he’s been speaking about the most important issues including income inequality for decades.
I'm a fucking millionaire and I'm a middle class taxpayer! Having a million dollars is NOT what it once was. It's the MEGAmillionaires & billionaires who are the problem.

The children of congress members get tax payer funded education, graduate debt free, are given internships and eventually their daddies or mommies seat.

We need people that have less that $300k in assets, and cash, in office. People who have sacrificed; who make hard decisions to sustain family, each year. People who are more connected to ordinary lives of working people.
Wealth caps. Transparent trading. If they can do trading, we can do exactly the same trading they are. Open that bullshit up. Forever benefits need to end. We’re being raped by them as much as as we are the top 1% of corporations.
