My campus partners with a local grocery chain to give out free produce once a month, so in addition to me getting a free bag of potatoes today, I got to hear some of my students getting excited about what they were making with their free onions this weekend, which was DELIGHTFUL.

Heeee, I get it, potatoes are very exciting! And truly, this is just another thing in a long list of things that proves that this job is a WAY better cultural fit for me than my last few jobs. I’m contemplating some soup if it gets stormy over the weekend, otherwise potato salad or a frittata 😁
