What can the general public do? How can we support you? How can we come to your aid and communicate to republicans that what they’re doing is not rooting out waste, fraud or abuse but backstabbing good hardworking Americans and painting SS recipients users?

Great question. First and foremost we need you to be loud about your support. Post about it, call your congresspersons daily, talk to your friends and family about it. Be loud. Attend protests if you are comfortable doing that. We aren’t allowed to strike and are limited in what we can legally do 1/

So we depend on the general public to be loud with their support of us and pushback on what the government is doing. Second, if you interact with Feds in your life, be patient with us. We are all struggling right now but still showing up to work. We might be a little extra right now but please 2/

Give us some grace and extra patience. I promise we are doing our best. Last but not least, if you know a Fed, show up for them. Be supportive, check on them. A lot of us are lacking family support right now and could really use extra care and support from friends. And thank you for asking. ❤️ 3/3

I've been in your shoes. Retired from the State of Illinois, including the Blagojevich years & the Rauner years - no budget for *793 days* & a full-on psy-op campaign on employees to sow doubt in our unions (it didn't work).

This is just to say that I have been so impressed with the Social Security Administration employees in my interactions. Everyone I spoke to was able to quickly and kindly answer my questions, and the whole system worked like a charm for my family. You have my gratitude.

For everything happening, we got our tax refund the quickest we ever have. Only took a week from filing. We were surprised given we expected it to be delayed. Kudos to the workers still getting it done while the regime tries to beat them down.

Makes me cry reading these stories. My brother was federal employee from age 21 to 60. He died of a massive heart attack at age 60. But he never thgt abt private sector. Terrible to say. But I'm glad he did not live to see this
