We have just lost one of our cats & are unsure about getting another. How did you choose your kitten & introduce them? I think my big older cat would be very annoyed by a kitten!

I brought Leeloo home 3 weeks ago and put her in the office. I would go in to play with her while leaving Aubrey the run of the house. After about a week, Aubrey began to accept that there was a little weirdo in the office

Aubrey started to get more interested than offended, and the door has been open ever since. Sometimes I put Leeloo back in the office for a timeout because Aubrey needs a little peace. Every night I put Leeloo to bed in the office and hang out with her for a while

It might be good in your case to adopt a young, adult, less rowdy cat since. I think you'll get quicker conciliation
