i know i'm an outlier, but mine didn't hurt much. it was like period cramps. hope everything goes well for you!

i've had 2 placed now and my first one didn't hurt too bad, but they let me have a local anesthetic for that one. the second one they didn't let me have anything except ibuprofen and that was definitely... uncomfortable. but afterwards it just felt like a crampy period for like a day or 2

my best advice is to take the whole day off of work/school if you can, get yourself a treat after the procedure, and then go home to a nice heating pad and comfy pillows and your favorite comfort show ❤

ask if they can numb your cervix! mine offered and I didn't even know that was an option. without it, I think the pain would have been a lot worse
