communities, but mostly to communicate with people there to manage irl activities. I can't stand "smart" things (washing machines, watches, automated car doors, ovens, etc.). Even my smartphone is less smart than it could be for privacy reasons.

Now my goals mostly revolve around real connections to people and irl activities. I want to get to know people, explore the nature around me, "actually" experience things.

This apathy towards tech and social media is pretty understandable, given the current social/political climate.
I, too, find more stock in interpersonal engagement and time spent in tangible activities.

A wise decision to step away, but don't limit yourself either. Just do what you gotta do.
