It can be tricky since the paint dries so fast! I use a wet palette & have some colors in golden open acrylics, which I think helps a lot.

Oooh I have been using their heavy body and some of their flow to help with ... well... flow... I have been thinking about grabbing some of the open line :D I may have to try em out!

The open line are slow drying acrylics and work really well for blending. I personally don’t like the heavy body paints. They also make slow dry medium you can add, but I think water works just fine ☺️

make sure that the extra thickness of the paint scales to be proportional to the mountains and crater elevations

because i don't know how you get any better from here. that looks great!
