Today the UK government recommended a pay increase of 2.8% for nursing staff in 2025/26, as little as £2 extra a day.
This is deeply offensive, detrimental to patients & contradictory to hopes of rebuilding the NHS.

To receive above inflation pay rise would need to be 20-25%+ as our pay has been held back for most of the last 15 years.
You can’t bring arguments about job security and pensions into this, they partly make up for the poor pay 15 years ago, before pay was frozen/held back multiple years in succession.
