Our climate change is incredibly fast compared to natural events like end of glaciation or of Little Ice Age. And we're only in the beginning of a fast climate warming.

Yeah, there does seem to be some exponentialities going on, sea rise since 1920 has been 20cm and look what that's able to do with 1.5C's help. But now that I think about it, the average tide is 1m, so 20cm seems like a lot really, in relation to this equilibrium.

I was thinking about sea level rise a little more and it's not only that it's a 20% increase on the average global tide of 1m. You also need to take into account things like beach-face slope. A 20cm sea level rise could equate to several metres of beach-face slope inundation... then wind, wave etc.

Extreme events: Beach sand grain size differs at different slopes on the beach, you might discover that grain size on the back shore is easier dislodged than on the front shore. So in a single even the whole beach disappears as the sea gets into areas at the back-shore/dune that is easier dislodged.
