The Dems in Oregon have been hovering at or near a supermajority for years. The bigger question is whether and how much Republicans will use walkouts to deny the majority a quorum to conduct business and eat up the clock on the next legislative session.

I have very mixed feelings about supermajorities on either side. They are a symptom of polarization and one party states are prone to excess. I am 100% Dem and much prefer this to what the Rs have done. But neither is a sign of healthy politics.

Now they just need to find away to prevent walkouts eating up the legislative cycle. It is insane that the opposition can halt the democratic process whenever they want. 113 was a start, but it is not enough. Anyone not present should just be be taken as an abstention, like most other places.
