Sens. Welch and Manchin have introduced a constitutional amendment that would establish term limits for Supreme Court justices.
The amendment would impose 18-year limits on new justices appointed to the court, with, eventually, a new term starting about every two years.

Sigh
Not a chance this will pass before then. None.
It will have to be reintroduced by the next Congress. Manchin will be out. So who will bring up the new bill?
FUCK THAT!! 🤨
The Equal Rights Amendment, begun in 1972, still languishes in limbo.
Now that they have achieved that goal and likely locked it down for another generation what possible incentive could they have to want to dismantle it?
Time wasting proposal.

Take it a step further and force out the 3 Trump appointees for perjuring themselves.
Each President gets 2 appointments per term.
Couple it with binding, enforceable ethics codes like all other Federal judges.
But, 18 years is better than for LIFE.
get behind.
I'd also be looking at the 70 year old limit for the legislature...
I can see Judge Clarence Thomas and Alito resigning when Trump is in Power and while the reds have the control of the senate.
Shit, we effectively have the states necessary to ratify the ERA, but we still haven't.
“The Judges, both of the supreme and inferior Courts, shall hold their Offices during good Behaviour”
I can think of a few judges that don’t meet this criteria.
Active. Get rid of at least 3 of the orange 💩 people
