He is really trying to wreck these legal entities so that he can turn around and try privatizing them. The problem is these agencies were created by laws passed through both chambers of Congress and signed by the president at that time. An EO will not legally dissolve them. He will try though.

That number is interesting considering the total workforce was reported closed to 10,000. Still, anything to gum up Elon's madness is a W. And these families can hopefully get their stuff in order and not be left jobless. Maybe even continue some of their critical work while they're at it.
